Bill Wicks
The author, Bill Wicks is an ex-soldier and officer and semi retired surveyor, teaching surveying at the local polytechnic. Apart from being an enthusiastic home brewer he is also a very bad guitarist and surfer.
Police sergeant Harry Brent, working in Queenstown, New Zealand is accidentally shot by a hunter. While still on light duties he is posted to the Christchurch office to work on cold cases.
What does the difference between the shadows mean? Who is the body in the trench at Tekapo Military Camp? Harry’s eye for detail and his need to know set him on the path to answering these questions.
Harry Brent is not your usual fictional cynical police officer with an alcohol problem or a more than usual distrust of senior officers. He likes his work, and the people and area where he works. Hopefully we will see more of Harry Brent.
