Because everything's always all over the place, I thought maybe if I started a note of what I'm reading, and what's next up in the piles I might (MIGHT) have a small chance of keeping track. Ha.
Just Finished
#auscrime: The Drowning by Bryan Brown - first full novel from this actor turned writer. Review asap.
#currentaffairs: It's Our Country, edited by Marcia Langton and Megan Davis. (Week of silence being honoured for reflection. So not surprised that those on the no side haven't got the grace to give it a try). https://bookwyrm.social/book/815375/s/its-our-country
Currently Reading / Catchup Book: Offline by Anne Holt - a series I'm disgracefully behind with and I felt like "a catchup" - ie a book I've chosen from my favourite #scandinoir piles as opposed to the tempting review books I should be reading.
Currently Listening: The Word is Murder, Anthony Horowitz - loved The Magpie Murders which we watched on BritBox recently so grabbed this for my audio queue (which is mostly during weekend chores / when driving somewhere listening).
Bookclub book: Our next f2f bookclub book is Nimblefoot by Robert Drewe https://bookwyrm.social/book/1432295/s/nimblefoot Initially very put off by the casual animal cruelty in the opening section. I'm told the rest of the book is better, but seriously not in the mood.
Next Up - I've just realised I don't know. It'll be whatever is around that soothes a very fractured, very pissed off soul. I wonder if I've got some crime fiction that deals with force feeding some truth into a lot of very disappointing people.
